Games are being played. The interesting thing is that whilst people have been focussed on the demand side of the iron ore equation (China etc), the smart guys have been monitoring the supply side. Whilst there is a short term build up of stocks (1 - 3 months by most accounts) the longer term supply side looks like there is some big opportunity. With the lack of exploration over the past 10 years there are real concerns for the impact of new supplies on the price of iron ore over the long term. The smart guys - Gilbertson & co - understand this and are getting in for the long term. The next golden age for iron ore starts when most people think the game is all over. It wont be a quick process, but it will be a rewarding process if you get in at the right time (and price).
