I speculated last week that OST would do a capital raising. I was only half-serious. Bingo..... next day trading halt and a new share issue at some 30% discount to SP.
WDC boast having just about the biggest cash reserves of any ASX stk. Yet today there is speculation (not from me) on ASR that WDC is considering a capital raising. IF WDC does go ahead and issue more shares it will confirm its revenue flow is not as powerful as it likes others to believe. My hunch is that WDC would cloak such a raising as cash for "WDC to acquire bargain basement shopping centres." Hmmmmmm..... as long as WDC can prevent empty shops in its own malls. Avoid.
