I may beleive this but my point is that it seems the oil majors with much reluctance must also believe this - because it is something that does not sit easy with them
Life would be so much easier for them just carrying as usual and just join the sceptics and fund propaganda and confusion (which they did for a while) - maybe they realised the issue was too serious
There are strong parallels with the tobacco industry except that the oil industry seems to not to have resisted as long - maybe they thought they better "give the planet benefit of the doubt" and they did not want to have to explain there role to their children - why do you think they gave in so easily ?
