I call Computershare several weeks ago when there was confusion about who had received the documentation for the "Settlement / Buy-back offer" vote. The person I spoke said they didn't know anything about the documentation even though the voting facility was hosted on their web site. I asked them to check and confirm and another chap called me the next day to say that Computershare had nothing to do with the handling (email or physical posting) of this documentation and that this was handled my Metgasco them selves. All a little confusing for everyone really.
In relation the the Proxy, the way I read the following
"Votes on Items of Business You may direct your proxy how to vote by checking a box opposite each item of business. All your securities will be voted in accordance with such a direction. If you do not mark any of the boxes on a given item, your proxy may vote or abstain as they choose (to the extent permitted by law)."
is that if I vote NO online against my shareholder number, then the Chairman will be my proxy to present my NO vote at the meeting - he can't change what someone has voted. Where he is nominated as the proxy, he will say something like "122 people have voted YES and 5000 people have voted NO and 1000 people have not cast a vote as yes or no". For the 1000 people that didn't say YES or NO, then the Chairman may vote or abstain as he chooses to the extent permitted by law.
