You hit the nail on the head there. Superfunds getting whacked! and the tax is supposed to balance the lowered company tax hence increase superannuation rate. These guys will have a few headaches figuring out the likely outcomes.
Anyway, isn't the 'super profits tax' just a raise in the GST in disguise????? I think so! But I guess mainstreet won't see that because all they can see is ripping the money out of the 'mega rich' mining companies that don't offer anything to average Australians other than jobs, economic security and high standard of living.
No surprises who I would vote for!
