You don't need to go far to understand why our Unis are in crisis.
The Federal Govt should take entire responsibility. Firstly they cut funding and then, IMO, encouraged the Unis to become "a business"! The rot set in when we started to sell education to foreigners. The Govt further encouraged this by allowing these "students" to gain permanent residence. There were a number of unintended (intended??) consequences.
They must now reset by funding education properly and withdraw a path to residence and make these 'students' go back and apply in the same way as other prospective migrants. That is, make your application and join the queue!
