Been listening to an interesting Fin Review podcast today Brother John, as I travel the countryside. Apple put its name on Goldman Sachs consumer lending and credit card business, but Goldman Sachs is now trying to sell it. Applepay is the first venture operating with funds from Apple's own Balance Sheet, it is still very much in trial stage, despite the hype. But the takeout was that the Australian banks are waiting for its next move on them, which could be in business or consumer lending. BNPL is likely to be down the ladder of ambitions, but even if it remains, Apple will keep its market selective and it is unlikely to gobble up the entire market. Fact remains that BNPL is popular, is becoming more popular, but it's a crap business lol
