If a builder came to us as said we wanted to build blockwork walls for bunch of units with the Hadrian which ended up being rendered or clad - no problem with it. As long as it resulted in the equal or equivalent end product, didn't cost more or take longer.
Recommending pre-fab or site build is not fair comparison to advising your client to use FBR at this stage (maybe one day).
Your correct builders will suggest changes to make things easier and cheaper. Hadrian might be like that, but its not there yet (which is the point I am making) particularly if you wanted face brick. I am sure if the numbers stack up it would work for a rendered wall.
