This is good news for investors in RRS, William Hague has announced today of Britain's intentions to re-establish and open the British Embassy in Somalia..Do we smell the hint of OIL Trade?
Will the Americans be next to open their Embassy? Only nine days ago a US envoy visited Puntland, headed by Senator Kirk, for 'talks' and trade deals! Do the Americans get the same whiff of OIL? All speculation of course...BUT, the Brits and the Yanks are notorious for 'helping' oppressed regimes under the guise of 'democracy'...when the rest of the world 'knows' it is not just the trade in their produce that they are after...if there is any substantial oil reserves...then 'democratic persuasion' with huge overseas aid, will be the order of the day for Puntland and Somalia...imho
As for RRS, there must at least be the sense of security now that the US/UK are seemingly showing interest here?
