There are quite a few big miners in the prolific Bowen Basin which DBay services exporting out of DBay shiploading facility whose capacity has been constrained for years by rail and port bottlenecks. They each have allocations and quotas, and have in the past in my memory indicated both singly and jointly their interest in owning DB themselves. Obviously ownership could convey commercial advantage in access to loading facilities, though no doubt there is oversight by various govt bodies, including the courts. I would guess these miners would try to outbid anyone to get that control, probably in a consortium or in consortia. Know I would if I was in their shoes. They are mostly pretty strong financially. Bowen Basin coal has been good to them. It is very sought after.
