phishpheet, all due respect to you......I have just read an article dated today backing you up although the GSM LTE consortium may upset WiMax.

Ericsson, which has its feet firmly GSM camp, argues that GSM LTE technologies will offer wireless broadband speeds 10 times faster than current 3G services by 2009.
An Ericsson spokesman said WiMAX proponents' claims were difficult to sustain.
"There are no large-scale operating Mobile WiMax networks today, so claims are still theoretical. Once developed, Mobile WiMAX will become a candidate for 4G status along with LTE," he said.
I do not wish to post the link just yet as I hold shares in a competitor to ENG.
