Gold was down almost USD 14 last night to 880 and with JP Morgan releasing better than expected results asset allocation has seen money move to the financials across the board IMO. That is why all the major banks and stocks heavily tied to mkt performance such as AMP are having solid days. Dow last night was choppy throughout but then finished strongly contributing to banking sector positivity today.
AVO has also been in a slight downtrend from my perspective for a while and an offer like this is unlikely to render a change in its direction even though LT it will be a good acqn for AVO.
Just my thoughts anyway
