Just incredible how ppl are just so vocal about how bad the coal generation assets are and how they "will be worthless" in like 1 yr, literally have kept the lights on in their homes their entire lives (unfortunately no lights on in their heads it seems).
to just cast them aside and label them worthless seems inconceivable, i would always bet on the proven production asset that has shown to provide excellent base load for generations, compared to the new still to be poven tech of large scale batteries to replace coal generation assets. Obviously coal assets will be phased out over time but to say that will occur within 5 yrs seems very optimistic to me, accel energy will have a great fleet of assets that will close eventually but will have a place in baseload power for 10yrs imo.
