    I don't see the erratic part in that quote. Everyone knows that the wind varies. In fact it is quite predictible. Much more predictible than a coal fired power station tripping when they have a failure for example.


    Also, there is no further information on their contracts as to why they get paid the subsidy and how long that is likely to continue.


    What it doesn't mention is that in these of periods of surplus electricity the wholesale price drops to almost zero thus making power cheaper. All they need to now is add some storage and they will be able to drop the price further by providing frequency and ancillary services to the market just as the Tesla battery does in SA.


    Just another distracting post from the coal lobby that conveniently lacks all the information. rolleyes.png
