Interesting. Can you assure me that the LCOE comparisons extend over the full operating lives of gas, coal and nuclear plants, including the full cost of the special high voltage transmission grids and landowner compensation required to connect widely dispersed wind and solar?
Then there’s the removal, rehabilitation and replacement costs of every wind and solar generator about every 20 years….. (My understanding is that most wind project contracts around my rural NSW property region leave it to the landowner to deal with the obsolete wind generators, including the c1200 tonnes of reinforced concrete that usually can’t be re-used!
