Oil and gas companies have had very low returns on capital employed over the past 10 years. In effect their shareholders have subsided the public with cheap energy mainly due to overproduction. Now it's going the other way. It all levels out over time.
if people think it's so easy to make 'windfall profits' then they should try run their own oil/gas/lng business
