There has been much recent discussion on HotCopper regarding MXR’s Windimurra tenements, resources, exploration targets and proposed drilling. Hopefully, the following information, maps and diagrams will stimulate on-going constructive discussion.

MXR’s tenements cover 97% of the Windimurra – Narndee mafic complex, which according to Kevin Wills, will be their flagship project.

They will be focussing on four key commodities:
• Iron Ore/Vanadium
• Nickel/Copper/Zinc
• Uranium
• Precious metals – Platinum/Palladium/Chromium/Gold



Maximus’s gravity and magnetic modelling of the Canegrass Iron Ore-Vanadium project has revealed five significant gravity anomaly drill targets. They estimate that largest of these anomalies, Block 1 has an exploration target of 1.7 – 3.0 billion tonnes. Blocks 2 – 5 exploration target ???.

Maximus expects drilling to commence on the identified exploration targets by late May after heritage clearance has been granted.

The first Diamond Core drill holes in Blocks 1,3 & 5 (400-600m depth) are designed to define the layered sequence and determine the best interval to focus future exploration. The core samples will be used to obtain accurate geophysical rock property measurements to aid and refine their on-going geophysical modelling.

The RC drilling program (to 200m depth) will enable the vanadiferous magnetite content to be determined. The RC traverses will cover all five blocks.
