there is a way to stop automatic downloads - its not easy to find however - there is a setting that enables you to indicate that the internet connect is metered. this tricks w10 into thinking you are on a mobile. otherwise you have to delve into the register to manipulate the auotmatic settings like the scheduled download and shutdown. there is no way of turning this off
