I too was reluctant to move from Win7 as found it stable, very few glitches.
Upgrade my machine & Win10 came with it (this was I'm guessing 2 or 3 years ago).
Didn't notice any speed difference, but I did have NvMIE memory card & second SSD drive for data storage, so split my programms & data storage, (now store everything on a NAS, so very litlel on board the machine it self) plus 32 GB ram (was a bit overkill a the time).
I think win10 is/was more memory intensive & I expect Win11 to be even more so.
