    Wow, that was quick!

    I've recently been using Windows Server 2012 - same user interface as Windows 8.

    Only way I could handle it was to put shortcuts to everything I use on the Desktop or in the Taskbar.

    Removing the start button / programs menu was a major stuffup - what were they thinking????

    They probably never thought of this possibility - but I use two different "flavours" of a Windows development kit. But many the associated apps have the same name - so I get TWO icons for each one, and no way to tell them apart!!
