MY SP2 to XP pro has significantly slowed my system I spent an Hr or so chatting to my local Nerd at the PC shop who assured me the changes in SP2 were significant and important..Security Holes..etc.. My leanings are to Open source Linux as a server base to my domestic network of 3 pc's and other open source add ons are giving the proprietary OS's more than a run for the money...
I had Linux based Redhat as an OS and could not run a few essential programmes with it.. there are still bugs ..Arthurs Firefox was mentioned as a safe firewall OS I am yet to try it
Yes I am paranoid and summarise that the open source Guys are on our side...There are Plenty of savvy Programmers on this site would certainly appreciate some practical input..
PS I exposed my email address on HC yesterday and intercepted /copped a Mabutu.A Worm Virus in an Email from a Nawal Taynous this morning..This may be an innocent post so no offence to Nawal..or his worms..

PS I use XP -Anti spy and Security templates from X-Setup Pro..not easy for the average mug like me.
