I think you know the answer to that question.
However his purchases at Coonamble, documented today in The Australia, may have to wait a long time to repeat the deal.
The three properties he bought are extremely small by standards of the area, where most farms are of 2000ha or more. The Coonamble area produces prodigous amounts of food, especially wheat and beef. It used to grow large amounts of wool, but the falling prices in the early 1990s put an end to that.
Some of the area has already been seismic tested years ago, without result. Maybe modern technolgy will throw up some better results.
There are a large number of landholders who would be very willing sellers at any reasonable price.
