Tony Abbott's change of stance over pricing carbon has been well-documented. As for how much people should take Abbott on what he says - let's not forget what he said about that hjimself; wherein he stressed the need to get it in writing!

I recall how many people were shocked when Abbott uttered an appalling comment following the death of a soldier in Afghanistan.

But now Abbott would have us believe he doesn't use such language:

Mr Abbott said he never uttered those words and accused Mr Windsor of changing his story.
