    cogs as someone with a marketing degree I also look at wine from the marketing perspective. I have no doubt that there is no direct coralation between cost and quality. Add to that indervidual tastes differe, I would not suggest some one start there wine apprecition with expencive wines.

    I think australian wines compare very well on the international level, a two year old australian wine is as good as a 10 year old french wine IMO

    cogs, if you could offer your view on the above and I have heard the french think astralia wine makers cheat by putting oak wood chips in the mix?
