I would argue you don't need to know anything about what you are trading except what other people think while they are trading what you are trading.

If you can read from the market what other people are thinking then they have done the research for you. And you are only trading information that is relevant as it's information expressed in dollars rather than words.

The enjoyment in trading for me is figuring out what the dollars are trying to tell you.
