    Thanks Winks,

Great to read an informed view backed by detail. As I'm learning what my edge is, this helps immensely. I did not realise the importance of the mavs. I followed the histo on standard ig charts. ie no mavs. I now have educated myself about IT charts. I will follow the whooska with the mavs. I also followed the histos on a one by one bases. I now understand alot more thanks to your birthday present to HC.

I have started deeper study of the ichimoku indicator. I think you would been surprised at its clarity. It's 4 mav's on 4 time scales. The 2 faster mavs's are based on the high plus low/2 over 9 and 26 periods. The 2 slower ones are the lows on a 26 and 52 period, The 5th line is the price in lagged time for support and resistence. The gap between the 2 slower mav's is the kumo (cloud). The ability to follow trends is dramatic.

When I learn to upload a screen grab on a mac onto HC I will show why some of the dramatic moves in price happened.

I plan to trade tomorrow with a three charts. 2m and 5 m histos and the ichimoku 1hr. I'm on holidays. (could be dangerous but my parents are coming for a week and need to take it easy)

Weekends seem to be study time. The 30 pages on ichimoku at kumotrader.com have made as much sense as the hundreds of pages that I have read.

Thanks again to the sharing of knowledge.

    boom

PS 100 pips a week in profit is the target. After that is is the contact size.
