Good strategy. People are describing HW3 as an appraisal well in the same way Gurame was being describe by MEO followers as an appraisal well. That is, previous wells had encounters hydrocarbons, albeit they didn't flow, therefore there was a field and it was being appraised. Bit of a stretch I would have thought. Generally when something has been drilled by others and didn't work, it doesn't work for the new boy with the new toy.
