Know a guy that won 1.1 million with Tattslotto about 4 years ago. He was a likeable young battler, who had a menial job that would have taken him nowhere. The win was also on his first ever game, just to rub it in. Anyway, he said that he was so happy that he wanted to share the moment with his family and friends, which many would understand.
His winnings enabled him to purchase a house for himself and also one for his mum, who a renter at the time. Of course, there was some money for his brothers: $10,000 each, which is better than a poke in the eye. But alas, one of the brothers is now not talking to him because he feels he should be given a LOT more!
I suspect most answers would be the obvious, where consensus would be to keep it hush. Or am I wrong?
