Until there is $20,000 EV surely an EV is an luxury.
$20k car vs $45k ev today,
The above is in Australia, but in ratio it would be the same be it EU, China, Korea or USA
Of course this would depend on the persons financial circumstances, but consider that vast majority of average city dweller buying a new 20K on finance will be ahead in 7 years when they sell the car compared to $45k ev.
