Mate you were wrong back in 2019 , you were wrong again in 2022 , and you'll be wrong again in what you're peddling now.
And mate DOW was down less than 1% ....and still well above 35,000 Which is still UP 27.5% since Bot's FIRST bad fear mongering call back in 2019.
And as far as Nasdaq etc......We'll see what Apple and Amazon deliver tomorrow after the close , but if Nintendo is any guide with its YOU plus 82% odd increase in earnings , I think you're way off.
So do I have to bring up your fear mongering calls on the XJO ASX/200 index again just to show how bad you actually are. The index which is now at 7,311 is still around 9% up on 2019 and 10% on your 2022 calls. So if someone were to have invested on a set and forget move , they would still be up when you're running around like chicken little telling everyone the sky is falling.
Regardless of all that , for Sayona like yourself would stand to gain hugely on a bearish Australian Dollar position to the USD SINCE ALL our revenues are paid in that currency . If anything , and in that situation of an AUD selloff on account of commodity weaknes , I would be more concerned if you are Piedmont and had to take forward cover out NOW for these payments to be made later.
So even if its the last thing that Crawford DOESN'T do ( lol ) , I would look forward to him NOT taking out forward USD exchange rate cover at 65 - 66 cents AUD to USD in the hopes he can leave a legacy of making even more than the $3.513 million favorable exchange rate gains. And that was JUST in the last quarter. So I'd be wrapped if Sayona could bag $10 or $15 million in favorable CASH movements in the AUD - USD movements in the balance of 2023 -2024 financial year. So WIN - WIN for us if the Aussie does weaken further.
