Of course ASX are not protecting existing holders, The can’t protect you as you’re already invested, unless you expect them to reverse all trades. What they are doing is protecting others from investing in ISX until all the uncertainties are sorted.
As for why ISX are suspended. Well I personally don’t know, and either does anyone else. What I will say is the silence from ASIC deafening. They have been looking into ISX for 9+ months and are obviously not finished. Everyone can draw their own conclusion from this but my experience says they’re probably investigating other things apart from the performance shares.
