Also worth noting that Google are heavily involved in the tender for building a wi-fi network for the whole of San Francisco area.

This would be offered free of charge to all potential users who would be forced (if memory serves correct)to log onto the Google home page.

Google see where the potential will be over and above a basic search engine once wi-fi/wi-max becomes a standard.

Good strategic move by both companies.
