Can you imagine the whingers of that era saying "how much are we going to pay per household to get an electrical wiring system to our homes" and "I have candles and they are quite fine, who needs electricity" and " They are making candles out of a better wax in the USA, that's what we should be doing here"
Yes I see. Faster Internet is the equivalent to the breakthrough of electricity. And people wanted to keep their candles. O....Kay!
I think the better analogy is, you already have electricity, how about we wire up 3 more electricity cables to your so you can run 5 times the appliances you actually need. And even though you wont in reality run more appliances we'll charge you more anyway.
