I still dont get it

Why is an ISP pushing handheld "tin" a big deal?

It still needs to access network, and, as far as I know, EFT doesnt have a GPRS network..............right?

So, why are they getting in the business of pushing tin, and how will they be better at it than say Crazy John's who also doesnt have a network, but has a HUGE retail presence in this market sector

Im not being difficult - I just genuinely dont get it
