The home wi fi is not quite the same. I have home wi fi and have installed it elsewhere. You have cable to the home and then netgear wifi in the home and I have used it for years without a single incident though I was surprised the other day that I could log on with a notebook 100ms away and therefore you must securitise your home stuff. It works upstairs downstairs out the back. Brilliant.

The use of wifi for areas is now exploited by Maccas and cafes and only competes with iburst and unwired with their plug in modems.

In the US the whole of Philadelphia is wifi and a smart Council should introduce it to areas it wants to populate.

I use cable, wifi and an iburst modem and on a 17' laptop running cfd and etrade programs at the same time they never miss a beat.

If you had to distinguish I suppose cable is the fastest but the speed is unimportant unless you are downloading movies.

The beauty for TLS is whatever the go is they have the critical mass.
As the vortex sucks the mobile phone and the small laptop into something beyond the Blackberry then TLS will kill them.

I think TLS is running dead on its massive monopoly power until the govt can get rid of it.
