There is no better position than CASH in this environment.

Sometimes taking a loss and selling is the best trade one could make.

Look at it this way -

If a genie popped out of a bottle and said -

Choose one of the following for free-

a) $100,000 in shares of your choice

b) $95,000 in cash

Which would you choose? I'd go with B without hesitation.

It is a bear market and this isn't the end, the worst has yet to hit. Don't bank of relief rallies, although likely to happen the trend is down and all rallies will eventually be sold into.
