Not long ago RBS Morgans stated that the Santos offer for ESG was "opportunistic", even in the current environment.

Now they have commented on further tightening on domgas prices due to the recent (Mt Isa region industrial) signing of a LT gas supply agreement there, and added further fuel to the fire of speculation by reasoning that Olympic Dam will take gas from the Cooper rather than build a transmission line to Port Augusta. Of course, they expect ORG & STO to benefit greatly from those two scenarios immensely.

Whilst blind Fred was recently spotted leaving the TAB, having placed a bet on STO to pipe Gunnedah GAS north, SE towards N'castle and even into a few aussie homes, it really won't matter any which way soon because the differential between LNG & Domgas is increasingly diminishing.

But RBS Morgan's efforts to help the cause of the noisy minority didn't stop there!!

In a move destined to alert potential YES voters, who had previously considered the exchange for Santos scrip no bad thing, RBS set a target price on the Great White (STO) of........$...14.00. YES. $14.

Even if the analyst is hedging his bets, unlike blind Fred, the YES vote, IF it WERE to get up, is clearly prepared to go the longer haul.

One cannot argue they'll do alright there, over the longer term. But hey me, and Fred, we're excited by the prospect of employing our ESG capital in a vehicle(s) of our own choosing.

PS: when Fred left the TAB he was seen heading down Queen St and into Dan Murphy's, from there he took a sharp right into Eagle St, and commenced soliciting potential other bidders for his beloved ESG.
