@moorookamick; what a contrast to the Whitlam Labor Government which tried to 'buy back the farm' only to be prevented from doing so after intervention from the USA with the appointment of Ambassador Marshall Green of Chilean regime overthrow fame, perhaps explaining how the USA today owns more Australian assets than all other investors combined.

Indeed, the Liberal Party even flogged off the strategically crucial Port of Darwin to the Chinese for peanuts only to watch that come back to bite us where it hurts - national security! In doing so they even upset the USA which is currently establishing massive fuel stockpiles to supply its airforce in the event of regional conflicts.

Such things demonstrate that the Coalition would sell their mothers if they thought they'd get a $Quick $Buck for them - to them it's all about $Feeding $Greed.
