With wet commissioning most likely to begin this week rampup will take several months…No one expects forty thousand ton in the first year of operation. Customers will be looking for within spec products not inferior products. The design purpose has been for optimisation of Flake size not economy of scale. The plant is over sized at the back end so more products can be produced while recovery rates are lower priority with plenty of reserves…

The Plant has plenty of variables including speed adjustment via State of the art SCADA control system and CCTV where minor adjustments can be made to increase or decrease time Graphite is spent within the Plant…Being within spec is non negotiable though

Recovery not so much on startup while anything around 60% recovery rates would be a significant achievement in early months…This is the objective below…The specifications below are not sector driven.It is unique to Lindi where other projects can only dream to produce such products any product they can produce is a byproduct…They simply can not grow with customer needs driven by battery and refractory markets… Lindi is now in the box seat to deliver product within spec and grow with customers needs.
