It's a fact, Roxby Downs has deteriorated badly, there are now several minor accidents and shutdowns a week due to outdated equipment and lack of maintenance. I worked there about 5 years ago and compared to MT Isa(also worked there) it's a mess. Xstrata got the buy of the decade when they bought MIM, there wasn't a single person in that town that didn't know they were getting done over, but thanks to a few greedy institutional shareholders with a short term view, a fine company passed into Swiss hands and they are certainly reaping the benefits now. Every mineral MIM mined has skyrocketed, the tens of millions of dollars MIM spent on upgrading Mt Isa Mines, Oakey Creek and a few others is now paying off handsomely for someone else.
