WMRC 9 April Meeting - Waste Report

AWT Plant Commissioning 276 tonnes were processed in January 2015. 806 tonnes were processed in February 2015.

Since the commencement of the commissioning on the 21 October 2013 a total of 6004 tonnes of MSW was delivered from both the City of Stirling and the WMRC at the request of DiCOM. However some 376 tonnes were declined as not being required. This means a total of 5547 tonnes were accepted for processing of which 4930 were disposed of as residuals.

The Waste Supply Agreement provides a mechanism by which the costs for disposal of 4930 tonnes of residuals are recoverable from DiCOM. Approximately 600 tonnes of separated organics are currently being processed in the vessels. Just considering the WMRC on the same basis as above some 3654 tonnes of MSW has been supplied from its own resources at the request of DiCOM. Of this some 229 tonnes were declined as not being required. Therefore a total of 3357 tonnes were processed with 3000 tonnes of residuals being disposed of to date. Approximately 370 tonnes of WMRC separated organics are currently being processed in the vessels.

Monadelphous personnel are now leading the commissioning. Their Project Manager hopes that consecutive batches will start from late March. Much of March was spent updating all the maintenance in the MRF. The Project Manager is currently exploring improvements to the residuals handling system which will allow the Plant to run unaffected when residuals trailers are being changed over.

IMO we should have already received an update from management....it shouldn't be up to investors to carry out research to find out what is going with the commissioning. Also as noted by the report MND are now leading / taking over the commissioning.
