WMT has a pipeline of exploration projects with its most advanced
being uranium in Tanzania. Initial drilling of large radiometric
anomalies (Mtonya) confirm potential for Kayelekera style deposits -
exploration budget A$3.5m through 4Q08 (15 months; 20,000m).
####Main Points
### WMT continues to build a portfolio of uranium, base metal
and gold properties - targeting large scale deposits in
Tanzania, USA, Australia and Peru.
### WMT exploration budget A$11m through 4Q08; ~70%
directed to uranium (Tanzania and Glade, USA).
## Mtonya (uranium, Tanzania): Multiple Karoo sandstone
drill targets across anomalous trend 7km x 2km. Similar
style to Kayelekera (15.6kt U3O8, grade 0.08%, PDN).
## Henri prospect (Mtonya); high grade mineralisation over
multiple zones. Drill intercepts include 7m @ 0.12% U3O8
## Drilling 4Q07 Mtonya (2,500m) and Glade (6,000m).
Major mining companies in Tanzania include Barrick and
Anglogold.
#### Overview: Current Board of WMT took control in June 2006. Since then, the company has
expanded its uranium interests in Tanzania in JV with URA where it has a growing commitment,
including an office in Dar es Salaam. It has also added uranium projects in Australia and the USA,
base metals and gold (Ag-Zn-Pb, Au) in Australia and Canada, and copper-gold in Peru.
### Tanzania uranium project: WMT has a number of prospects in the Mkuju River region of Tanzania
with large radiometric anomalies at Mtonya (Henri, Moysten, Para and Grandfather prospects)
and Ruhuhu. WMT is targeting Karoo age sediments with potential to host uranium deposits over
10kt U3O8. Widespread sub-surface mineralisation is confirmed indicating the potential for multi
layered deposits (as per Kayelekera, PDN, Malawi). WMT’s most advanced prospect is Henri, part of
a 7km x 2km radiometric anomaly where the company has undertaken 3 stages of broad spaced
drilling down to about 50m depth. High grade uranium intercepts to date include Henri 7m @ 0.12%;
Moysten 3m @ 0.086% (drill results), and Grandfather 1.2m @ 0.77% (trenching has confirmed high
grade surface mineralisation over 1.4km). Anomaly sampling and mapping in the Ruhuhu area and
regional reconnaissance of known anomalies commenced 3Q07. The region is being actively
explored by Uranex (ASX:UNX) and Mantra Resources (ASX:MRU) who are also achieving
significant results in association with large radiometric anomalies. WMT has a 40% interest (earned
by spending A$2m since May 2006) and can earn to 60% by spending an additional A$2m. The
company plans to spend A$3.5m on exploration in Tanzania through 4Q08 (20,000m drilling).
### Glade Uranium Project (Colorado, USA): Located in the Colorado Plateau – an historic uranium
/vanadium mining district with well established infrastructure. Tenements are under cover along
strike from uranium bearing channels in the Four Corners area. The conceptual target is a tabular
style 3,000t uranium deposit in the Salt Wash Sandstone (~100m thick) with potential for a small
underground mine and toll treatment at the White Mesa Mill (Denison) about 90 miles away. WMT
holds a 60% interest and can earn up to 85% by spending US$1.65m. Drilling 4Q07 (6,000m).
### West Georgetown (QLD, Australia): An established province that includes the Ben Lomond and
Maureen uranium deposits (TSX:MGA) and Kidston gold mine (>4moz). WMT is targeting Ag-Pb-Zn
and uranium with 14 drill defined targets. Drilling is expected from 2Q08 (10,000m).
### Investment Comment: WMT has a growing pipeline of drill ready targets. It has an experienced and
well respected board and management team to support ongoing M&A and project advancement.
Large drill programs are planned in 3 project regions through 4Q08 – all relatively shallow, viz.,
Mtonya (20,000m, Tanz.), Glade (10,000m, USA) and Georgetown (10,000m, QLD). WMT in
particular has achieved encouraging drill results at its most advanced prospect (Mtonya - Henri)
where there is potential for further rapid exploration advances. Given the positive mid term outlook
for the uranium price and potential for rapid project advancement in Tanzania, WMT’s share price
appears to have a solid base for appreciation into 2008. The Zeehan tin project is being divested.
