All good and we managed to get down the highway from Port Douglas to home this arvo. House is extremely unscathed, in fact my whole street which is right on a tiny beach looked pretty good.
and my bananas weren't shredded!
The predicted tidal surges didn't eventuate.
Not fun at all, my dog wants know whats going on and when we can go home.
We were so lucky and can only hope those further to the north are okay.
Late today Cairns was coping the weather which has inhibited the support services as ITA has moved south.
Tomorrow should see some normalcy return and we can go home, happy to put up with no power.
