The problem is that the only thing that you can really surmise from somebody selling is that somebody is selling. I know that it is always tempting to try to guess exactly why they are selling but it ends up being a fruitless exercise. It's a bit like trying to work out how many eggs you have left in the fridge by listening to the sound of the compressor.
Anyway, the stock market is a device for moving wealth from the impatient to the patient.
