If this drop gets any worse, we might see the return of the old HC character martis the great (self proclaimed).
For those who don't know him, he was a colourful creature.
He would make wildly bearish comments, had a target of 1000 on XJO and was probably shorting planet earth itself. He's been missing since the March lows, probably got majorly squeezed because he was convinced things would get worse every time.
Why is it that humans love hearing stories about doomsday? Whether it's 2012 and the Mayan calender, some asteroid hitting earth (has been expected every few years) or global warming frying us all to death.
Why do movies in this genre do so well?
Is it because we feel that should a day like that come, all of our problems in life would vanish instantly and we would now have only one problem now, a bigger one which can unite us? Ok starting to get too deep here sorry.
