The view around the traps is that the ABC no longer represents the pinnacle of excellent frank and fearless journalism. The quality has pretty much gone. Over time, that is what throwing political and corporate backed flak does. The same reason it is hard to get excellent economic commentary as well. Makes for the second rate governance you all so greedily desire while saying you want the opposite of course.
There is even a person on twitter who watches Insiders and gives updates so that others don't have to bother wasting their time. QANDA is experiencing the same fate. Laura Tingle steps in for one night on 730 Report and by all reports it was welcomed.
The ABC isn't felt to be the same ABC and with good reason. Not enough? Throw more flak, allow it to be destroyed or co-opted like an autocratic state.
You will all get the corrupt democracy you've ask for.
