I still don't get this. The public buy and hold stock in WOF, becoming part of the Wolfpack. Then one day the Chinese take the company over, de-list from the ASX, close everything down in Australia, ignore all emails and letters and head back to China with all the assets.
The wolfpack is left to whistle for any compensation for their outstanding shares, which they hold but can't trade and which have effectively become worthless.
Have I missed something? Because if not, EVERY ASX investor should be aware that this kind of thing could happen again, and to them. And as far as the ASX / ASIC are concerned this is all ok? Permissable? Really?
Have I oversimplified this topline summary of events? Have I missed crucial facts? Because if not, this really does stink. No protection for investors?
