Agree with you comments. Seems odd that we condone this behaviour. Our legal system seems to have flipped and it is the perpetrator and not the victim that we bend over backwards to accommodate.
When it comes to the human race, it appears we have a total breakdown in logic and treat humans completely differently for all the wrong reasons.
If a dog or animal attacks and injures someone, it is usually put down. If a human attacks someone, we find excuses for their actions and give them the opportunity to reoffend.
If an animal is very sick we usually put the animal down to avoid undue pain and suffering. If a person is terminally ill we keep them alive and suffering for as long a possible.
There appears to be something fundamentally wrong with our approach to dealing with issues relating to the human species - I think it is termed 'human rights'!
