This is where this type of thinking comes from,that sin is based on what we do,which becomes unknowingly a works trip,ie if i do more good than i do bad,i will earn Gods favour and go to heaven etc
From discussions with Muslims this is what they believe - if their good out weighs their bad they will gain Allah's favour. I was told that Allah maintains a record of their deeds.
The church that I attend occasionally with my spouse talks about being made right with God through grace, and not works. I appreciate that this is only an example of one denomination and that one swallow doesn't make a summer.
