From yesterday's news...
"One million Victorian workers will soon be able to take their long service leave five years earlier.
The State Government said yesterday it would cut the long service leave qualifying period from 15 years to 10.
Workers will now be eligible for two months leave after 10 years..."
Later in the article Bill Shorten (the Great White Hope for the Labor Party) was quoted as saying "..the change did not go far enough. Shift workers have to take a pay cut when they went on long service leave as they would not be paid normal penalties"
